Baby/Child Dedication Information
By presenting your child(ren) for dedication at Lima Community Church, you affirm that you will uphold a lifestyle in line with the Christian faith:
- You affirm that it is the desire of your heart for your child to know and follow the will of God and to live a life dedicated to growing in relationship with Him.
- You affirm that you desire to live a life glorifying God in all your actions, as a model follower of Jesus Christ, to the best of your ability, for your child to see and learn from.
- You affirm that you will maintain a lifestyle that reflects the desires of God’s heart for His creation, for your child to know a Kingdom Centered lifestyle…
- Either as a single guardian, abstaining from living or having sexual relations with another individual until marriage is entered.
- Or as a couple made up of one man and one woman united in marriage as a covenant under God.
- You affirm that you will pursue a Christian community in which to be surrounded, encouraged, and held accountable, for your child to grow up in and experience the love of God’s people.
We understand that not everyone is able to affirm each of these statements right now. And though we will not be able to move forward in dedicating your child at this time, it does not mean that you cannot continue your faith journey with us. In fact, we would love even more to come along side you, continue to have conversations with you and hear your heart’s desires for you and your child. If this is your situation, we invite you to feel free to shoot us an email, give us a call, stop by our offices, or simply find us on a Sunday. The love of Jesus is far greater than we could ever imagine, and we want to make sure there are no obstacles or hindrances keeping you from experiencing that love.
